The graduate assistantship term of employment is for both the Fall and Spring semesters. A limited number of positions may be available for Summer terms. Assistantships are salaried and require either 10 or 20 hours a week, depending on FTE assignment. Positions are available online, but some assistantships may require students to be onsite at Discovery Park between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information on assistantship resources and benefits, visit the Toulouse Graduate School website. For prospective TAs/TFs/RAs applicants whose primary language isn’t English, please particularly read the section “Language Support” closely.
Graduate assistants will be evaluated by their faculty supervisors at the end of every semester. Reappointment in the next semester or year depends on the GA evaluation and the availability of funding.
UNT graduate assistantships do not include Tuition Benefit Program, which is a separate application program through the Toulouse Graduate School Tuition Benefit Program (TBP). Please indicate on your application if you are interested in applying in TBP.
