Master of Science in Learning Technologies


Applications are now being accepted for Summer, and Fall 2025.

  • The Summer 2025 term is open for applications (For Domestic Applicants Only).

Priority Deadlines: (Applications after these deadlines will still be accepted until the program has reached capacity. However, we can not guarantee that they will be able to be reviewed, or processed by the beginning of the applied term after these dates.)

  • Summer 2025: March 15, 2025
  • Fall 2025: June 15, 2025

Application Process

The application process begins with the Graduate Admission.

  • Application: Complete the UNT Graduate Admission (GradCAS) application. International students must review the International Admissions page for additional required documents.
  • Transcripts: Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended. Grad Admission will review transcripts to verify minimum GPA requirements of 3.0 on the last 60 hours of a bachelor's degree, a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA, or a 3.5 GPA on a completed master's degree.
  • Test Scores: If you meet the specified GPA requirement, you will not  be required to submit test scores. However, the GRE or the Miller Analogies Test (GMAT) may be used in assessing a student's application for admission to the program.

If you are admitted into the university, Grad Admission will send you an email and pin number to check online at my.unt.edu. Activate your EUID with the pin number and click on "Admissions Status"to proceed to Step 2 of the application process.


Supplementary Materials

  • Resume or curriculum vitae including your previous work and/or educational experiences relevant to the program.
  • Personal statement outlining your educational and professional goals. Your personal statement should:
    • Link your goals to previous relevant educational experiences and strengths
    • Describe your critical thinking and writing abilities
    • Outline experience working with technology and relevant technical skills
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation from references who can provide evidence of your technical and critical thinking skills, ability to advance in graduate studies, and ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Once you have been accepted to the program:

  • Accept your admission: Log into your MyUNT portal and click on the "Accept" link in your Student Center
  • Choose Your Concentration (optional): Decide on a concentration you would like to pursue within the program
  • Advising: Schedule an appointment with an advisor to choose courses and outline a degree plan
  • Register: All registration and tuition payments at UNT is done via your MyUNT portal

Information for International Students

  • Applicants who do not hold either U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident alien status should apply to the International Admissions Office
  • An international applicant's bachelor's degree should be equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree
  • All documents should be submitted at least six months before enrollment date
