Eligibility for all Scholarships and Awards

• Must be a Learning Technologies major
• Have a minimum 3.0 UNT GPA at the time of application
• Enrolled as a student in the upcoming fall semester (enrollment hours will be verified before funds are disbursed)

Scholarships

Dr. Greg Jones Memorial Endowed Award

The purpose of The Dr. Greg Jones Memorial Endowed Award is to provide support for Learning Technologies (or its successor) graduate students in their UNT related scholarly and/or research activities.

Eligibility:

a. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the Department of Learning Technologies (or its successor) in effect at the time of any award;

b. Maintain at least half-time enrollment as established by the University, unless the student is nearing completion of his or her degree program and does not need half-time enrollment;

c. Must have completed at least twelve (12) hours in his or her program, and is an active student in good standing with the Toulouse Graduate School (or its successor); and

d. Preference will be given to doctoral students enrolled in any Ph.D. program offered by the Department of Learning Technologies (or its successor) with his or her research focused on improving online and blended teaching and learning.

Stipulation:

If no applicant meets the criteria, then available funds will be held for future awards. Previous recipients may receive this award once per degree program. Meeting minimum criteria does not guarantee an Award.

Dr. Roger Ditzenberger Scholarship

The purpose of The Dr. Roger Ditzenberger Scholarship is to provide support for Learning Technologies (or its successor) graduate students in their UNT related scholarly and/or research activities focusing specifically on leadership.

Eligibility:

a. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the Department of Learning Technologies (or its successor) in effect at the time of any award;

b. Maintain at full-time graduate enrollment (currently 9 graduate hours) as established by the University, unless the student is nearing completion of his or her degree program and does not need half-time enrollment;

c. Must be in good standing with the Toulouse Graduate School (or its successor); and

d. Preference will be given to doctoral students enrolled in any Ph.D. program offered by the Department of Learning Technologies (or its successor) with his or her research focused on leadership.

Melvin J. Moffitt Scholarship

The purpose of The Melvin J. Moffitt Scholarship is to provide support for Learning Technologies (or its successor) graduate students in their UNT related scholarly and/or research activities.

Eligibility:

a. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the Department of Learning Technologies (or its successor) in effect at the time of any award;

b. Enrolled in at least three (3) graduate hours in the fall semester.

Kathleen White Scholarship

The purpose of The Kathleen White Scholarship is to provide support for Learning Technologies (or its successor) graduate students in their UNT related scholarly and/or research activities. This scholarship is intended for future, current, or former teachers.

Eligibility:

a. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the Department of Learning Technologies (or its successor) in effect at the time of any award;

b. Maintain at least half-time enrollment as established by the University, unless the student is nearing completion of his or her degree program and does not need half-time enrollment;

c. Must be an active student in good standing with the Toulouse Graduate School (or its successor).

Wircenski Scholarship

The purpose of The Drs. Jerry and Michelle Wircenski Scholarship is to provide support for Learning Technologies (or its successor) undergraduate students in their UNT-related scholarship.

Eligibility:

a. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the Department of Learning Technologies (or its successor) in effect at the time of any award;

b. Be enrolled in at least three (3) undergraduate hours in the fall semester;
